White River National Forest
The White River National Forest Plan is complete. It is expected back from the printer in the next few weeks. No word as to the decision on alternatives has been made public. The scoping for the Travel Management Plan is expected to begin this summer and fall. The BSA is participating (along with other recreational groups) in mapping the forest and making suggestions for use. The outcome of this work will be to suggest travel management uses so that the forest understands the non-motorized point of view. If you are interested in participating in this project, let us know. There are many subcommittees that could use your input.
