A New Name - Backcountry Snowsports Alliance
With the notable increase in members of the snowshoe and snowboard community, the BSA felt it more than necessary to revise our name and logo to include our entire constituency. We are now the Backcountry Snowsports Alliance. Since the start of the year, the board, staff, and membership have participated in the choosing of this new name. After much deliberation and thought, Backcountry Snowsports Alliance was chosen. We will keep the website address (http://backcountryalliance.org) and contact information the same.
The implementation of a new name is difficult, so we encourage you to spread the word! The success of our organization is dependent on support from our constituency, and one of the best ways to support this cause is to talk to others about the organization. We hope that this revised name will encourage increased membership from all human powered backcountry users.
